ADMISSION NOTICE (of 2002) MILITARY COLLEGIATE SCHOOL PHULTALA (MCSP) KHULNA

MCSP is situated at Phultala approximately 6.5 kms North West of Jahanabad Cantonment, Khulna. The government approved MCSP is an English Medium Residential School for boys only, with classes from class VIII to class XII.

The institution is under the tutelage of Bangladesh Army. Faculty members are an admixture of ''Army Education Corps'' officers and civil teachers. With emphasis in English language, the institution is following the syllabus of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Jessore. The curriculum and extra-curricular activities are so designed that each student is groomed as a good all-rounder in the field of education, games & sports with some leadership skills. The applications are invited for the intake of the student in class VIII.

Eligibility for Admission

Admission is open to all fulfilling the following requirements:
Students presently studying in Class VII or Class VIII can apply.
Age of candidate for Class VIII should be 12-14 years at the time of admission and height 4'8''and above.
Candidates shall have to pass the written exam, medical test and final interview before admission.
Parents are willing to allow their child/ward reside in a boarding institution.

Admission Form: A candidate is required to fill up the admission form. The form and the prospectus can be obtained from the Station Headquarters, Jahanabad, Jessore, Dhaka, Savar, Chittagong, Comilla, Rangpur, Bogra, Momenshahi, Saidpur, Rajendrapur, Rajshahi, Sylhet, Cantonment and MCSP on Payment of Tk. 500.00 only. Defence personnel may send Tk.500.00 under their unit arrangement and obtain the admission form and prospectus. Last date for submission of form is 12 October 2002. Selection Procedure :
Test. A candidate has to qualify in written test of 100 marks covering English, Bangla, Mathematics and General Knowledge subjects based on syllabus of class VII. The test will be conducted all through in English except the subject Bangla. The written test shall be held on 25 October 2002 at 0900 hours under the arrangement of Station Headquarters Dhaka, Chittagong, Bogra and Jahanabad Cantonment, Khulna. The candidates qualifying in written test will be called for interview and medical test on a different date.
Final Selection. Candidates found medically fit and qualified in both written test and interview, shall be considered as finally selected for admission to class VIII at MCSP. Joining instruction will be issued to the candidates, selected as per merit, by 21 November 2002.
Candidates selected shall report to MCSP in January 2003. Reporting date and time will be informed through joining instruction.
The monthly fees is Tk. 8,000/- for each student (Tk. 5,000/- for the children of defence services personnel). In addition, Tk. 15,000/- for defence services personal and Tk. 25,000/- for others to be paid on yearly basis for meeting other school expenses.
